New York, New York (October 4, 2023) – Tuesday’s Children announces its 22nd annual fundraiser themed as Casino Night this year, taking place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 6:00 PM at the Ascent Lounge located at 10 Columbus Circle, New York City. The national nonprofit will host an evening with VIPs, an assortment of casino games, exciting auction items and delicious food and drinks, with all the evening’s proceeds benefitting family and community members forever changed by terrorism, military conflict and mass violence.
During this year’s annual fundraiser, Tuesday’s Children will honor Richard Repetto, CFA, a West Point graduate who served five years as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, followed by a 25-year career on Wall Street focusing on research of electronic trading and financial technology companies. Most recently, Rich was a Managing Director at Piper Sandler and principal at Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P., receiving numerous awards for his equity research including “Global Analyst of the Year” in 2012 by the Financial Times. Rich received his MBA in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
“We’re honored to recognize Richard Repetto, especially for his dedicated service and unwavering support to Tuesday’s Children throughout the years, contributing to our programming and long-term healing efforts to help build resilience and transform the lives of children, families, and impacted community members,” said John Cahalane, Chairman of the Board of Tuesday’s Children. “We’re looking forward to hosting a festive Casino Night this year, offering our guests an opportunity to enjoy a cocktail-style event, participate in various games including blackjack, craps, and roulette, and bid on various raffle items with all proceeds benefitting family members who have been part of the Tuesday’s Children community for two or 22 years.”
“As a West Point graduate and working in New York finance during the time of the 9/11 attacks, I could not be more supportive of Tuesday’s Children’s resilience-building programs and their efforts to leave no child or family behind,” said Richard Repetto.
Richard Repetto has worked with Tuesday’s Children’s Board Member Silvia Davi throughout the years and recently joined her and fellow Board Members Lou Romano, Brian Hughes, and Jessica Waring at the annual September 11th bell ringing remembrance ceremony at Nasdaq in Times Square.
Tuesday’s Children’s Casino Night will be sponsored by Jim & Marilyn Simons, NFL, Aon, New York Jets, New York Giants, the MLB, Goldman Sachs, Daiwa, Fred Strobel & Aimee Foxx, Bill O’Reilly, Tradeweb, Barasch & McGarry, Paster Family Foundation, Crowe, Wilpons, Roger Coleman of Coleman Group Partners, CME Group, Sidley Austin LLP, and Justin and Michelle Hughes Foundation.
