New Family Summit Program Launches in Philadelphia!
Tuesday’s Children Family Summits bring together families from the 9/11 community and military families of the fallen to experience a showcase of programs at the heart of Tuesday’s Children programs. In the first Family Summit, hosted in Philadelphia, PA, nine Tuesday’s Children families joined Program Team members Nikki, Abigail, and Trisha an action-packed three days.
Thanks to lead sponsor Justamere Foundation for making this event possible and to supporters Comcast, Uber, SEI, and The Philadelphia Phillies for contributing to the richness of the experience.
Families spent a morning touring the Comcast Sphere and had a career exploration workshop in the afternoon with a variety of professionals from Comcast. Each child received a laptop through Comcast’s Project UP to support their academic and career journey, as well as help them connect with their mentors and attend virtual events. The children participated in a team-building game night with the Program Team while the adults enjoyed an evening dinner on the Delaware River. Families also attended a Phillies game, courtesy of the team.
