On Wednesday, May 9th Tuesday’s Children and the Child Mind Institute presented a Speak Up for Kids program on ‘Raising Resilient Children”. The presentation, given by noted child and adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Alan Ravitz, focused on how to foster resilience and support children as they recover from the loss of a parent or loved one.
A portion of this program was skyped into the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA’s) gala reception in Washington DC as part of their National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. Tuesday’s Children received national recognition for their work with children. Tuesday’s Children is committed to speaking up for our kids as children’s mental health matters!
