New York Mets Game
Several hundred members of Tuesday’s Children took part in the remembrance ceremony at CitiField. Responders, families, board members, staff, mentors, volunteers, endurance athletes and supporters of Tuesday’s Children joined together to be spotlighted at the ceremony.
Adults assembled and unfurled a gigantic American Flag and presented it on the field during Marc Anthony’s performance. Representatives of the Responder community flanked the stadium and both the Mets and the Cubs players personally escorted 86 children of Tuesday’s Children onto the field. A moment of silence was held and every person in the stadium held up candles as the lights dimmed in the stadium.
