Team Tuesday’s Breaks New Ground with the Boston Marathon
In the world of endurance programs, Mike Lutz stands out as a beacon of inspiration and dedication. His generosity knows no bounds, having raised over $25,000 for Tuesday’s Children. When we announced Mike as our #1 fundraiser for the 2022/2023 NYC Marathons, his response reflected his character: “That makes me feel very proud. I’m grateful for the recognition and also to be affiliated with Tuesday’s Children.”
A Personal Connection: A Journey with Tuesday’s Children
Sharing the story behind his commitment, Mike revealed, “One of my best friends lost his dad on 9/11. Tuesday’s Children was a huge help to him and his little sisters in the following weeks and months. I consider them like family, so to support this cause was a no-brainer.” Mike’s inspiration for running goes beyond personal achievement, focusing on becoming a better runner and, more importantly, a better person. He sees running as both an escape from life’s challenges and a means to cultivate discipline and fortitude.
Living by the mantra “Don’t think. Just move,” Mike embodies the resilience and determination that define Tuesday’s Children and its mission.
A Historic Moment: Mike Lutz at the 2024 Boston Marathon
In an exciting turn of events, Mike Lutz will make history as Team Tuesday’s first official charity runner for the prestigious Boston Marathon. This marks a significant milestone for our team, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for Mike to represent Tuesday’s Children on this esteemed platform.
