LinkedIn Hosts Tuesday’s Children for a Powerful Career Networking Seminar
On Thursday, January 10th Tuesday’s Children’s Career Resource Center invited high school seniors, college aged students and recent graduates to participate in a “Career Networking” program at the LinkedIn NYC headquarters. Students had the exclusive opportunity for one-on-one resume review with employees from LinkedIn followed by a seminar on how to best utilize LinkedIn when searching for internships and jobs. One participant said, “Prior to the seminar, I had virtually no knowledge of how beneficial creating a LinkedIn profile could be. All of the professionals whom attended were extremely informative, as well. I’m really happy to have had the chance to gain hands-on knowledge.”
Following the LinkedIn seminar, students were able to network with professionals from a variety of industries including: finance, journalism, advertising, social media, fashion, public relations, communications, science, legal/government and sports. After the networking one participant noted, “all of the professionals facilitators had perspectives that allowed me to evaluate possible career paths.”
