Join Tuesday’s Children and MENTOR Independence Region’s Calie Condo for November’s Speaker Series on social identity, power and empowerment and learn how to empower youth through mentoring strategies.
Mentors are uniquely positioned to help youth develop positive identities, a sense of belonging, and connectedness to their communities when we understand our power and privilege and how they impact our mentoring relationships.
In this training curriculum participants:
1. Explore their own social identities and the social identities of those whom they support
2. Examine power dynamics of their interactions and relationships with whom those they support
3. Explore empowerment strategies
