Join Tuesday’s Children and Stephanie Heitkemper, PhD and Scott Anderson, PLMPH for this two-part session on building strong relationships that make an impact.
In this session you will learn how to make each get together memorable. Mentors will learn how how strengthen their relationship and how to navigate through unmet expectations while embracing ‘one rule’ in how to create meaningful relationships as well as setting healthy boundaries.
About the hosts:
Stephanie Heitkemper, PhD, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Resilient Minds Counseling PLLC in Denver, Colorado. Stephanie completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Human Services at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and holds a Masters in Marriage Family Therapy from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She recently completed her PhD in Counseling and Psychological Studies from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Stephanie is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S), an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Approved Consultant and Certified Therapist, a Fellow in Thanatology (FT), and is also a Trauma and Loss Specialist (CTS) and Trauma Informed Assessment Specialist (CTA). Her main passion is working with children and families.
Scott Anderson, with over 20 years of experience facilitating youth groups, has incorporated various elements, including character-based education, bereavement support, and movement therapy, among many others. Several training experiences have helped to shape him as a person, educator, and facilitator, including a 94-day Outdoor Educator Semester with the National Outdoor Leadership School, Grief Companioning Skills Training with the Center for Loss & Life Transition, and work as a trauma-informed student engagement specialist at Tennyson Center for Children.
