Join us in-person at Buffalo State University or virtually via live stream.
This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear from panels of survivors, service providers and experts in community resilience, to include local voices from Buffalo and additional voices from other communities that have experienced targeted hate crimes and mass violence.
Discussions will focus on ways to address stigma and reduce the politicization of responses to community tragedies, mass violence and the pandemic. We will explore ways to bridge the divide, address disparities, and fill gaps in support services in order to promote long-term healing and resilience in our communities. Recognizing that these events involve complex social, economic and psychological factors, we hope this session will help to further identify the needs of impacted communities and encourage stakeholder collaboration to provide effective and sustainable solutions.
