Jan 03 - Jan 07, 2019
Join us for our winter session of Project COMMON BOND! January 3-7, 2019 in Washington, DC. The Project COMMON BOND winter session has a specific focus on skill-building in the areas of leadership, conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
The Project COMMON BOND Winter Session is an opportunity for past Summer Session attendees to build practical skills in leadership, conflict resolution and peacebuilding. Together with the George Mason School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution and the American University International Peace and Conflict Resolution Program, the Winter Session is a rigorous academic program providing specific workshops and trainings on these topics. This year, Tuesday’s Children, the George Mason School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution and the American University International Peace and Conflict Resolution Program will extend the mentorship component of the program by keeping participants and staff connected once a month virtually for 6 months, to continue to share how they have brought peacebuilding back into their communities post-program. Applicants should be ready to commit to this, in addition to the time together in January.
This program is only open for participants who are 18+ years old and have attended Project COMMON BOND Summer Session in the past. We encourage all interested participants to apply, however, with limited spots available, application does not guarantee acceptance. Preference will be given to participants who have not previously attended Project COMMON BOND Winter Session in the past. Once the application due date has passed, if there are additional spaces available, we will open up the program up returning participants.
