PEER SUPPORT IN THE WAKE OF TRAUMATIC EVENTS
Tuesday’s Children launched this quarterly speaker series to accompany our annual Lessons in Recovery and Resilience Forum in May.
This second session in our series of 2022 Lessons in Recovery and Resilience events will include three speakers with expertise and backgrounds in peer support as it relates to traumatic loss, understanding grief and bereavement, the role of trust and community-building in the wake of loss, how peer support can help mitigate the sense of loss of safety and control, and effective peer support methods.
These events are funded in part by the New York Life Foundation, the Department of Homeland Security Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program and the Brave of Heart Fund.
