We wanted to update you on the 20th Anniversary Photo Project to assure you that we are still working to make the project possible.
PLEASE READ THE BELOW FOR AN UPDATE REGARDING THIS PROJECT
Our hope is that we will be able to start setting up safe and socially distanced sessions in the fall of 2021, however exact dates are still to be determined. Our goal is to hold a week of photoshoots that are in locations most convenient for our families and with a steadfast focus on following CDC guidelines.
Richard Wiesel, the lead photographer and Creative Director of the project, will be making a special request of the Australian Government to travel to the U.S. to facilitate each session. Richard works with a team of professionals who will provide each interested family with a comfortable environment in which to tell their story.
Please stay tuned for updates so you can rebook at a time that works for you. Any surviving 9/11 family member is welcome to join us but reservations will be required and spots are limited.

We were honored to create and publish Legacy Letters in 2011, which offered over 200 family members the chance to write their own narrative to share with the world on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
As we approach the 20th anniversary, we are planning another creative and inspirational offering to our shared community. We are working with internationally recognized photographer Richard Wiesel to bring this project to you.
In honor of the 20th anniversary, Richard is creating a photo exhibit where he would like to display portraits of those who lost loved ones on 9/11. This will provide a platform for these individuals to share their story in memory of that loved one.
Our experience is that many family members have found healing in telling their story and shaping their own legacy. It is our hope that you will consider being a part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to once again share your perspective and story. Your image would be part of a collective that we anticipate will be part of an exhibit and a book. Please CLICK HERE to see the letter from Richard to learn more.

The photos used in the exhibit will be the ones taken by Richard and not ones sent in by family members.
Photo prep, such as makeup, is included.
