Distinctive Marketing Solutions Raises Money for Tuesday’s Children, Participates in New York City Marathon
Company President George Papalexandratos runs, finishes, and earns $2,600 for the charity.
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) January 11, 2010 -- Distinctive Marketing Solutions, a leading provider of outsourced face-to-face sales and marketing teams, announced that the company has raised approximately $2,600 for Tuesday’s Children on behalf of the New York City Marathon. President of Distinctive Marketing Solutions, George Papalexandratos, ran in the marathon to support the organization.

Tuesday’s Children is a charitable organization that benefits all children who lost a parent or guardian in 9/11. The New York City Marathon had a few organizations available to choose from to raise funds for – and Distinctive Solutions thought that Tuesday’s Children was extremely meaningful.
With 34 Distinctive Solutions’ team members participating in the fundraiser, the entire Distinctive Solutions staff went to the marathon to support George Papalexandratos, who had trained for 16 weeks for the marathon and had a finishing time of 4:20:08.
“It was uplifting for our whole team to be able to raise more than $2,600 for children who have lost their families during 9/11,” George said. “It provided us with a great opportunity to participate in a charitable event. It was also an opportunity to promote health and wellness.”
Distinctive Solutions plans to continue their community involvement; in previous months, they’ve been involved in location walks and runs, along with fundraising for specific philanthropies in Philadelphia.
