Kids will be paired with their varied interests of architecture, fashion, theater, arts, animal care, music, finance, television and sports. Corporations pulled back the curtain to show our kids a bird’s eye view of a variety of careers. Corporate partners included ABC, A/X Armani Exchange, Beacon Grill, Blue Man Group, Bovis Lending Lease, Brick House Literary Agents, DHMA, DKNY, NYC Fire Academy, NYPD, Daily News, Humane Society, Lehman Brothers, Mayor’s Office, Michael Kors, ML Soccer, Madison Square Garden, NBC, NYC Ballet, NYC Medical Examiner’s Office, New York Stock Exchange, Federal Reserve Bank, Ogilvy & Mather, Perkins & Will, Kiss FM Radio, Simon & Schuster, Sporting News, Teen Vogue and Viacom. Take Our Child to Work Day has always been a special day for Tuesday’s Children and our 9/11 families. It is a day packed with learning, guidance, curiosity and smiles. The rewards reaped from Take Our Child to Work Day are not felt for just a day but for years to come.

When: Sunday, May 2, 2010 Where: All five boroughs! The ride is 42 miles and completely traffic free. Click here to do an interactive tour of the route. The ride starts in downtown Manhattan and ends on Staten Island at a fun outdoor Festival, including bike demos, a mountain bike stunt show, giveaways, games, a wonderful food concession, product samples, stretching, massage, a photo booth, and official merchandise on sale. Bicyclists have access to multiple rest areas that provide beverages and snacks and stops for bike repairs and medical help, all free of charge to participants. We have outreached to trading desks to donate a percentage of their trading commissions from a day of their choice plus sponsors to provide financial and/or material assistance to establish the foundation for this initiative. The "commission day" will be selected by the participating desk and could include September 11th, any day in-between, or numerous days. Tuesday's Children is honored to have partnered with many influential companies over the past year and look forward to forging new relationships in the years to come.
