College Essay Writing Workshop |
September 16, 2007
New York, New York
When it comes to applying to colleges, most high school seniors would agree that writing their personal statement is the most anxiety-provoking task required in the application process. Tuesday's Children, by offering a series of interactive college advisory workshops, relieves that angst. On Sunday, September 16, in partnership with Howard Greene & Associates, high school seniors were able to meet one on one with educational experts Howard Greene, Matthew Greene and Ginger Miller. Having spent their careers as admissions officers at the most competitive colleges in the country, they now offer their expertise to high school students. They have written numerous books on the ins and outs of navigating the college process. Students received individual constructive critiques of their essay and common application along with solid feedback regarding their college choices.
“Richard and I got so much out of talking to Howard Greene on Sunday. Although there was a lot of down time, I do have to say it was well worth it to have the opportunity to work one on one with Howard. Thank you.” Linda
“Thanks so much....it was so helpful- more than anything to give Tim a push to work on the essay, as it was to have someone "in the business" look at it and provide comments. I also hope that he follows Ginger's instructions regarding raising his grades, as well as reading more. He must realize that this is crucial to getting into his college of choice.
