I believe that the two most powerful forces on earth are hope and love. Both have found a home at Tuesday's Children, and now, so have I. I am very proud to have been appointed president of this remarkable organization. I have deep respect and admiration for our families, volunteers, leadership, staff, supporters and friends. What you all have accomplished in the past 5 1/2 years is remarkable. With a professional and dedicated staff, Tuesday's Children has created and implemented initiatives that are providing help, guidance, and most importantly, strength for more than 5,000 September 11th family members. At Tuesday's Children we understand how important it is to feel the support, encouragement, and love of others. This is our guiding principle as we work to provide our families with a safe and comfortable base to return to; a place where they will be welcomed with open arms. And now, as our families evolve, change and grow stronger in ways that could not have been imagined five or six years ago, we look to the future. This organization has learned so much about healing and helping since September 11th. In fact, as so many of our families and children know first hand, in helping others, we strengthen ourselves. Our families are becoming leaders in inspiring hope in others. So, the challenge ahead is to bring our services to a new level and to explore exciting new ways to broaden our reach and impact. As president, it will be my responsibility to lead our organization as we further define and follow that path. It is a labor of love for me - one that I accept with great humility and enthusiasm. I look forward to meeting, working and achieving with each of you in the years to come. As long as there is a need, we will be here. Carmine Calzonetti
