New Jersey Mentoring Matches were in the holiday spirit when they donated gifts for underprivileged children in New York City.  As part of Helping Heals, mentoring matches who attended a group event at the Red Bank Armory donated gifts and made cards for the children living in shelters.  The gifts were donated to one of Tuesday’s Children’s partners, Women In Need.  Women in Need supports New York City women and their families who are homeless and disadvantaged by providing short-term housing and other supportive programs. 

Director of Mentoring Jennifer Betancourt, along with Mentoring Coordinator’s Sara Wingerath and Danielle Cooperhouse brought the gifts to the Women in Need headquarters and met with Beverly Brewster.  Beverly was very appreciative of the generosity of our families and mentors.
