Sixth Annual Holiday Benefit At Plandome Country Club- A Great Success! |
December 8 , 2007
Manhasset, New York On Saturday, December 8, 2007, Tuesday’s Children hosted its Sixth Annual Holiday Benefit at Plandome Country Club in Manhasset, New York. Long-standing Manhasset residents Kevin Dwyer, Paul Iskyan, and Charles Trunz III were honored for their unwavering dedication and sincere compassion for the many individuals directly impacted by the events of September 11, 2001. Mr. Dwyer, Mr. Iskyan, and Mr. Trunz received the Tuesday’s Children Leadership Award. We were proud to honor these three men for their roles in the overall growth and success of our organization.
“This event was an enormous success thanks to our generous donors, guests, event committee members, Entertainment Sponsor North Shore – Long Island Jewish Health System Foundation, and our supportive honorees Charles Trunz, Paul Iskyan, and Kevin Dwyer,” said Amy Wright, Director of Events and Marketing at Tuesday’s Children. “Without all of their hard work and efforts this event would not have been possible.”
This year, we had over 280 guests at the benefit and all enjoyed the festive fare, decorations, and live music provided by The Jim Roberti Band. Tuesday’s Children spruced up the evening with five fabulous live auction items donated from many local restaurants, shops, and vendors, presented by auctioneer Don Ross, Manhasset resident and long-time Tuesday’s Children supporter.
The dinner and auction proceeds will help Tuesday’s Children provide life changing services and resources for 9/11 families, Rescue and Recovery workers, and First Responders.
A special “thank you” to honorees Mr. Dwyer, Mr. Iskyan, and Mr. Trunz, and their families for their support of this event, North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System for being our very generous entertainment sponsor, and the event committee for helping to make the night a great success!
